I hope you all enjoyed a beautiful and peaceful holiday season! Debbie and I would like to thank all of you who attended our holiday luncheon at the Portofino Resort at Universal Studios in early December. It was a wonderful, fun-filled afternoon!!
This year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to offer to local collegians two $400 scholarships. Our beautiful recipients were in attendance at our luncheon and shared with us their goals for the upcoming year. I don't think our scholarship committee could have picked two more deserving women! Congratulations!!
We also had the great pleasure of awarding Mrs. Kay Pricher with the 50 year pin at this year's luncheon. Kay's life story was touching and inspiring. What a beautiful example of Chi Omega grace and gentility!
Our sisters brought wonderful items that were donated to the Beta House. It was so heartwarming to see such generosity! Our donation table was overflowing. The Beta House was speechless and so very grateful for all the wonderful donations. Thank you, sisters, for your love and dedication to others!
After enjoying a wonderful and delicious lunch we ended the afternoon with a group picture on a breathtaking staircase! We hope to have the photo published in the Eleusis...so keep an eye out for it!
Again, many thanks to all of you who attended the luncheon. I am currently working on the activities list for 2012. Please come and join us this year! Our hope this year is to grow our membership and to create a strong bond of sisterhood!
